Wokingham & Emmbrook Youth Football Club

About Us

Affiliated to the Berks & Bucks F.A. No. GID00793

Mission Statement : To enable every football player to reach his or her full potential whilst ensuring enjoyment of all aspects of the game.

Wokingham & Emmbrook F.C. is a local, progressive F.A. Charter Standard Club with a range of committed and FA qualified coaches. We run boys' and girls' teams varying in age from under 7 to under 17 playing in a variety of local leagues.

ALL boys and girls are welcome to join us regardless of their level of ability or experience.

Each year (weather permitting!), we run a successful 6-a-side tournament which attracts approximately 250 teams from all over the County and beyond. We also get involved with local community events such as the Winter Carnival and offer a range of social events for our members, their friends and families.

The club was formed in 2004, as a merger of Wokingham Town and Emmbrook Sports. Our nickname is "The Satsumas", a reference to our team's colours of orange and black.

Wokingham Town were champions of the Isthmian League First Division in 1980-81, reached the First Round of the FA Cup in 1982-83 and the semi-finals of the FA Trophy in 1987-88. Among their former players were Darren Barnard, Terry Brown, Paul Bence and Phil Alexander. Emmbrook Sports had a much more modest history, being long-term members of the Reading League
